Intuitive Massage: A holistic approach to health and wellness involving therapeutic massage techniques to facilitate the release of energy blockages. The focus is to relieve pain & discomfort all while putting your body into a deep state of relaxation by intuitively connecting to the body.

Lymphatic Massage: Also known as manual lymphatic drainage, relieves swelling that happens when medical treatment or illness blocks your lymphatic system. Long standing and sitting can also make the lymph stale and sluggish. Lymphatic drainage massage involves gently manipulating specific areas of your body to help lymph move to an area with working lymph vessels.

Some conditions and circumstances where lymphatic drainage massage is not recommended:

  • Heart condition.

  • Kidney failure.

  • Blood clots.

  • An infection.

Talk to your healthcare provider if you’re concerned your physical health might be affected by lymphatic drainage massage.

Traditional Chinese Cupping (massage):

Originating from China, cupping is a type of alternative therapy that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow. Proponents also believe the suction helps facilitate the flow of “qi” in the body. Qi is a Chinese word meaning life force (energy).

Many believe that cupping helps balance yin and yang, or the negative and positive, within the body. Restoring balance between these two extremes is thought to help with the body’s resistance to pathogens as well as its ability to increase blood flow and reduce pain. Where the cups are placed, blood circulation to that area is increased relieving muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cellular repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

*Stationary Cupping: Cups are suctioned/set in place and left for a time determined on the patients individual needs.

Slide Cupping:

The cup to pulled along an area of skin into a suction that decompresses muscles and connective tissue. This promotes blood flow to the compromised area, enhances circulation and helps to increase the body's own healing processes.

*cupping marks

Are not a bruise but petechiae, usually not painful

A darker coloring means that there is a high level of toxins and stagnation in the section of the body that has been treated. In this case, the marks can last for minutes or up to 3 weeks

*certain medications and conditions may not be indicated with cupping therapy, please speak with your therapist to find out if it’s right for you.
